PMT FUTURE PLUS is part of the PMT FUTURE series, the high-end bridge CMMs from PMT. The mobile bridge structure design of the PMT FUTURE PLUS CMM, with its characteristics of high efficiency and stable function, can deliver ultra-high precision measurements that meet the needs of complex components manufacturing, such as precision machining, assembly and quality control processes. With this level of performance, the FUTURE PLUS CMM provides high precision, high stability and high efficiency measuring solutions for production sites, R&D centres and metrology labs and is widely used in automotive, mould, machining, precision manufacturing, metrology institutes, aerospace and other fields.

Technical Features

Structure Advantages

The advanced photoelectric incremental grating scale combined with the precision transmission mechanism ensures micron level accuracy in the measurement process as well as the stability and repeatability of the measurement results.

Stable Granite Platform

Natural high quality granite table with excellent temperature stability and rigidity, effectively resisting deformation.

Rectangular Guideway Structure

The X, Y and Z axes are all made of granite rectangular guideways with low thermal expansivity, which effectively reduces the non-linearity error caused by bending deformation to ensure the symmetry and matching of each air bearing. The precision machining and installation of the rectangular guideway ensures perpendicularity and parallelism between the axes, providing a solid basis for high precision measurements.

Drive Technology of Dynamic Movement

The drive technology of dynamic movement can ensure the smooth operation of the machine. The Y axis adopts friction drive by shaft while the X and Z axes adopt flexible drive by single belt (similar to a flexible rack and gear pair). The electric motor moves with the moving parts, avoiding differences between the far and near end caused by the transmission, greatly enhancing transmission stability and positioning accuracy and reducing maintenance cost.

Surrounding Air Bearing Structure

The X, Y and Z axes use a circular symmetrical air bearing design, which greatly reduces the influence on machine stability caused by deformation of structural parts and effectively enhances the anti torsion ability of moving parts. The rigidity and stability of the coordinate measuring machine are improved as well.

Quick Response to Balanced Pulley of Air Cylinder

The Z axis adopts a quick response balanced pulley with an air cylinder, which improves its rapid response ability and avoids the fluctuation influence of cylinder airflow on the Z axis.

Dustproof and Protective Design

The top of the X and Y axes is equipped with a dust protection structure, which protects the guideways from dust. This ensures the air bearing can operate in a clean environment and greatly reduces the likelihood of coordinate measuring machine failure.

The PMT FUTURE PLUS CMM offers efficient dynamic measurement performance with joystick operation speeds up to 0–20 mm/s (slow mode) and 0–100 mm/s (normal mode), single axis speeds up to 300 mm/s in CNC mode and space speeds up to 520 mm/s.

Advanced Temperature Compensation Technology

Monitors and compensates for measurement error caused by temperature changes in real time.
