A few members of the Manchester Metrology team recently visited the PMT headquarters in Suzhou, China. Through our role as the UK official reseller, the company was invited to participate in training sessions and discussions on the latest product developments.
The visit included dedicated time on the new PMT GAMMA Arm and scanner, allowing the team to further build on their existing expertise and allowing the team to further build on their existing expertise and maintain the highest standards in use, servicing, repair and calibration.
The GAMMA Arm features a dual suspension support structure, world-first external decoupling and internal balancing system and a lightweight carbon fibre build, providing enhanced stability, flexibility and precision across a wide range of measurement tasks.
The optional blue laser scanner complements the Arm with optimised optics for accurate scanning, making it suitable for complex or specialised workpieces and enhancing measurement capabilities.
The team also spent time exploring PMT’s latest innovations and taking another look at the PMT CMM range ahead of our deliveries, while discussing developments directly with PMT engineers and the opportunities they offer to UK businesses.
Alongside product-focused sessions, the trip helped strengthen the relationship between Manchester Metrology and PMT. Meeting in person allowed both teams to share feedback from the UK market, discuss customer requirements and consider how future developments can continue to enhance industry standards.
