More than 136 heads were scanned using our 3DeVOK MT Gen2 3D scanners across two busy days at Makers Central 2026 at the NEC Birmingham.
Derek and Ian took along the scanners, supplied by Manchester Metrology, giving visitors the chance to get scanned and see themselves captured as 3D models.
Among those who stepped in front of the scanner was inventor and YouTuber Colin Furze, who stopped by during the event and had his own 3D scan captured.
It wasn’t just people being scanned over the weekend either. Derek and Ian also used the 3DeVOK MT Gen2 to capture a droid, providing another example of the scanner in action and the level of detail it can capture.
With more than 136 heads scanned over the weekend, the scanners certainly had plenty of use. It was great to see Derek and Ian putting them through their paces and giving so many visitors the opportunity to experience 3D scanning for themselves.
