A huge well done to our General Manager, Steven Richardson, along with Barry Richardson, Daniel Garvey and Billy Dunn, who successfully completed the Spartan Trifecta Weekend at Belvoir Castle in support of CALM – Campaign Against Living Miserably.

For Steven, it marked his fourth Spartan race and his first Trifecta, taking on all three Spartan race distances across one weekend.

The challenge started with the Beast, a gruelling 21 km course featuring 30 obstacles. The following day, the lads were back to complete both the 10 km Super and 5 km Sprint, tackling a further 45 obstacles to complete the Trifecta.

In total, they covered 36 km and faced 75 obstacles across the three races, with high temperatures over the weekend making an already demanding challenge even tougher.

There had been plenty of hard work and preparation leading up to the weekend too. Steven suffered a partial calf tear during his training but continued working towards the Trifecta as he recovered, even keeping up his training while on holiday.

Manchester Metrology was proud to support the lads as they took on the challenge, alongside Broderick Group Limited and TrueVend.

Most importantly, the Trifecta was all in support of CALM, raising funds and awareness for the charity and the work it does to prevent suicide and support those who need it.

After months of training, setbacks and preparation, completing all three races was a fantastic achievement. We’re incredibly proud of Steven, Barry, Daniel and Billy for pushing themselves through such a demanding weekend for an important cause.
