Exhibition at 3DMC 2026 in London

From 8–10 September 2026, Manchester Metrology attended the 3D Metrology Conference (3DMC 2026) at Loughborough University London, joining metrology professionals, researchers and industry experts from around the world.
The international conference brings together people working across the field of 3D metrology to share knowledge, explore the latest developments in measurement technology and discuss real-world applications. The three-day programme featured technical presentations, hands-on workshops, live demonstrations and opportunities to network with others in the industry.
With the conference taking place in a different European location each year, 2026 saw the event hosted in London.
Showcasing Portable Metrology and 3D Scanning Technology
Throughout the event, our team demonstrated a range of portable metrology equipment, giving visitors the opportunity to get hands-on with the technology and explore its capabilities.
Equipment on display included:
- PMT GAMMA Portable Measuring Arm – A portable coordinate measuring arm designed for accurate 3D measurement, dimensional inspection and quality control.
- Scanology NimbleTrack – A wireless optical 3D scanning system offering flexible, marker-free scanning for a wide range of industrial measurement applications.
- Scanology SIMSCAN S Gen2 – A compact, wireless handheld 3D scanner designed to capture detailed 3D measurement data, including complex geometries and hard-to-reach areas.
Visitors were able to see the equipment in action, ask questions and discuss how different measurement technologies could support their inspection, 3D scanning and reverse engineering requirements.
Connecting with the International Metrology Community
One of the highlights of 3DMC 2026 was the opportunity to meet people from around the world working on a wide variety of metrology projects and applications.
Across the three days, we had some interesting conversations about the challenges organisations face when carrying out 3D measurement and inspection, as well as the different technologies and approaches being used across the industry.
It was also a great opportunity to learn from others, exchange ideas and share our own experience of providing metrology equipment and measurement services to customers across a range of industries.
It was great to be part of 3DMC 2026, meeting people from across the international metrology community and sharing our knowledge and experience of 3D scanning and measurement technology.
