Visits to PMT, Scanology and 3DeVOK Headquarters in China
Our General Manager, Steven Richardson and Business Development Manager, Atis Suharzevskis, travelled to China to visit PMT Technologies and attend the Scanology and 3DeVOK Global Reseller Meeting.
The trip provided an opportunity to meet with the teams behind the equipment we supply, see the latest developments in metrology technology first-hand and explore new measurement and 3D scanning solutions for customers across the UK and Ireland.
Visiting PMT Technologies
The first stop was PMT Technologies' headquarters, where Steven and Atis met with the team to learn more about their latest metrology equipment and upcoming developments.
As an official UK and Ireland reseller of PMT Technologies, Manchester Metrology supplies the PMT GAMMA range of portable measuring arms, alongside coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
The visit was a great opportunity to spend time with the PMT team, discuss their equipment and gain further insight into future developments.
Scanology and 3DeVOK Global Reseller Meeting
Steven and Atis then travelled to Hangzhou to attend the Scanology and 3DeVOK Global Reseller Meeting, held at Scanology's new purpose-built headquarters.
The event brought together resellers from around the world to share knowledge, explore the latest 3D scanning technology and learn more about new products and developments.
One of the highlights of the conference was the introduction of two new optical 3D scanning systems, the Scanology TrackScan Sharp-Z and Scanology TrackScan GO.
Scanology TrackScan Sharp-Z
The Scanology TrackScan Sharp-Z is a fully wireless, self-tracking optical 3D scanning system designed for large-scale measurement and inspection applications.
Featuring quad-cross blue laser technology, 360° tracker rotation and tracking distances of up to 12 metres, the system provides wide-area measurement coverage with accuracy of up to 0.025 mm.
One of its standout features is the dynamic rotary platform, which automatically follows the scanner during operation. This helps reduce the need to reposition the tracker when measuring large components and structures, making the scanning process more efficient.
Scanology TrackScan GO
The Scanology TrackScan GO is a fully wireless, portable optical 3D scanning system designed for industrial measurement applications.
With portability and flexibility in mind, the compact scanner and tracker fit into a single carrying case, making the system easy to transport between different working environments.
The TrackScan GO offers three measurement configurations, allowing the scanner and tracker to operate together or independently. This provides flexibility when measuring components of different sizes, from larger workpieces to smaller parts with intricate features or hard-to-reach areas.
Bringing New Metrology Technology to the UK and Ireland
The trip gave Steven and Atis the opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in metrology equipment and how these technologies could benefit customers across the UK and Ireland.
It also provided valuable insight into equipment that could support our own engineers when carrying out subcontract inspection, 3D scanning, CMM inspection and measurement services.
